This Community Forum is envisioned as being a place of inspiration and support. To share of ourselves honestly and vulnerably, which in our physical gatherings has supported an open space of acceptance and non-judgment.
This happens when we express truthfully from our own experiences and not trying to change the other, instead, communicating one's own experience that the theme has touched.
With any link or inspirational material you post, include a short personal introduction letting people know how you have been touched by it and your reason for wishing to share it. Likewise for your own work if you have something to offer to others please make it personal. This can allow the integrity for this forum to stay real people and not become an 'advertisement' place.
Let us use this space to be an inspiration and support with, and for each other, not a place to preach, attack, complain or say 'this is the way it is' – what we give in to this group is also the benefit we can receive back.
Before sending in your message or post, re-read them carefully, take that extra breath and space before you push send.
Please respect the privacy of each other, imagine that this is a physical group we are all attending and have agreed to be respectful of what has been shared vulnerably here, and not re-post another's comments elsewhere without permission.
If you feel unsure about what to post or how to post, please be in touch with the administrator. Or if you feel a post has been offensive or inappropriate, please contact the administrator.
In general I have the trust that participants will be self-responsible in their contribution to the forum and comments to each other. However, if a post is considered offensive, or inappropriate, it may be deleted and you may be asked to leave this Forum space.
Thank you for joining our Community Forum!

I have been fortunate throughout my life to be involved with various communities in a wide variety of forms. These communities have helped me to gain understanding, develope friendships, experience other perspectives and fundamentally to feel that I was not alone on this journey of self-enquiry and exploration. I have found that many people are seeking connections and community. I seem to have a natural inspiration for bringing people together, so I therefore have decided to co-create this 'Community Forum'.
The intent of this Forum is to be of inspiration and support for one another, to share honestly and vulnerably of ourselves. This can happen when we express truthfully from our own experiences whilst not trying to change the other, instead, communicating one's own experience that the theme has touched, this can then inspire or encourage other readers. I will also be actively on the Forum, available to answer questions in the different groups as well as to share of myself and also what arises to inspire others.
There are several 'groups' in this Community Forum, some will be public (posts can be read by all forum members), others will be private (can only be read by 'that' group of members within the forum). This is to support creating safe spaces for honest communication.
All members of the Forum will need to register and be activated by the administrator

ORDINARY LIFE - AN EXTRAORDINARY JOURNEY
By Kira Kay
How do you integrate this experience into ordinary daily life?
I believe that these are important and valuable questions to contemplate. I share here my own experiences and methods from an intent of support. In my own past I have had times when the days/hours after the actual experience my mind would be rather active and old beliefs, attitudes and patterns of behaviour would seep back into my reality. Before long I would find myself discounting the experience and not trusting what had occurred.
An experience is simply that, you directly experiencing this moment for however long it is. I used to attempt to 'get this back' however I found that often it can be the seeking to 'get it back' that in fact holds the experience further away. Instead of looking to have it back, or to recreate the same experience, look more at being grateful for what you have glimpsed and allow the possibility that more of the same/similar can happen again.
I find it practical to use the past experience as a memory/anchor, a flavour that you can savour to whatever extent you do in memory. This serves to keep reminding your whole system that such experiences do in fact exist. I find the seeking to have the same experience is through the process of the mind, and the mind cannot directly experience life.
Other techniques include becoming more aware of the process of your mind and behaviour, not trying to change them, simply becoming aware of 'you' in each moment. Sometimes this can be supported by contemplating a question, such as 'who am I' (e.g. who am I in this moment, this situation); 'What is my true nature' (e.g. what is my true nature in this moment): 'what is my true purpose' (e.g. what is my true purpose in this situation) - this contemplation supports you to be in this moment exactly as it is - which is the doorway to direct experience. This might sound like a contradiction but you need to want to experience directly each moment and yet not try! Something happens when we let go, relax and allow - yet there is also the need for intention, to direct the energy of seeking in a constructive way.
I also encourage regular meditation; preferably simply sitting and allowing whatever arises. In addition I find that being gentle with oneself and inviting creates space for harmony.
I also encourage following your intuition on any reading of books or meeting with teachers/inspiring people - often being in the presence of people who live more or less in a state of ‘grace’ quickens your own system, reminds it of what is possible.
In essence the state of natural harmony exists all the time within each one of us, however our conditioning and over use of our known senses and intellectual mind serve as a buffer between the way most people experience reality and our natural state. It is here all the time. The key is to uncover 'you' in each moment.
In conclusion, I encourage you to follow your inner messages and take the courage to be with whatever changes or expansions they may indicate. It is in each moment that these arise and it is possible to live your potential, in all the small steps, which when you look back may seem like one big step!
I trust that you find this supportive and helpful, warmly & love,
ACCESSING OUR JOY AND FREEING OUR SPIRIT
By Kira Kay
The first step is to realise that we are far more than we have been conditioned to understand of ourselves. Begin connecting with the possibility that we are more than we know of ourselves right now. Generally as we grow up and live our lives we develop conditions and limitations – imparted from our parents, teachers and society. We use these as a matrix around which to build our identity and our lives.
This matrix of conditioning is our prison. To connect with and live our lives in true passion and honest integrity we need to first understand our individual selves, to understand this matrix we have each created. It is possible for each of us to see our whole selves more clearly. As we understand the core behaviours, beliefs and attitudes that are shaping how we experience life we can begin to live our own life, not a conditional life. By acknowledging these behaviours and beliefs, seeing them as facts and realising that we do have a choice in how we experience this human life it is possible to draw upon our own inner knowing. Our inner knowing is our own truth. We all have it. It is always available to us. Now is the time to access this knowing from our inner self and put it into practice.
Through this we can begin developing our natural life skills. It is in uncovering these natural life-skills that we can expand how we experience ourselves and each other. How often have you felt or wished you could 'see' more deeply into this situation or this person or this possible course of action? These types of questions face us each day - we do have the answers within us.
The fact is we can read each other’s thoughts, we can predict the future, and we can heal one another. It is that we have not been educated that these are our natural gifts as much as being able to read, write and add up numbers! Our school system and society has not supported or encouraged these faculties and so they lie dormant in each one of us. It is our natural birthright to access and use these extra sensory talents every day in living our lives.
Simply take a moment and reflect on your life. Remember instances where/when you may have had an unusual happening. It may have been knowing that a certain event was going to happen before it does, or having a miraculous healing. It may be something as simple as having an intuitive feeling about a choice you are making in your life and what effect it will have. It might be knowing that a relative or friend is sick or having an emotional experience. Each of us spontaneously have these experiences. They are not uncommon, they happen every day.
Experiencing and developing our intuitive senses is something that each one of us can do. It is like exercising a muscle, it takes practice and intention. And more practice, and more practice! And it takes courage.
It takes courage to begin to live life from your inner knowing rather than your conditioned matrix. It may become apparent that you need to make choices that are outside of the normal paradigms of society. Simply look at a situation in your life that asks this of you. I suggest that you consider this: would you rather take the risk and step into a choice that your heart says is right, that may lead to a more alive and fulfilling life, or would you rather choose the path that feels more comfortable and logical but feels dead? The choice will always be yours.
Take a moment to try this simple exercise. Sit quietly and let yourself feel relaxed and neutral, taking a few deep breaths and simply feeling your body sitting on the chair. Now picture a situation where you need to make a choice about something in your life. It may be an invitation to a dinner, or it may be a new business proposition or perhaps a more personal issue. Let yourself imagine that you have chosen one alternative: how does your body feel – is it tense or relaxed, how do you emotionally feel – excited, fearful or neutral, how active is your mind? Now let the imagining of the first alternative go and let your whole system come back to a neutral place. Now let yourself imagine that you have chosen the other alternative: how does your body feel – is it tense or relaxed, how do you emotionally feel – excited, fearful or neutral, how active is your mind? By simply tuning in more deeply with your whole self it is possible to gain insight into everyday situations.
If you link courage with intention and practice then there is a very probable outcome that you will begin to experience yourself living a life that feels like magic. A life in which events that happen are supportive, with people turning up when you need them (or leaving when you want them to!). A life in which career and business opportunities arise seemingly naturally. A life in which partnerships are more intimate and real. You can live a life that you are consciously creating from your deeper self, a life that is unlimited in potential.
To be a human is truly a gift. We often do not realize nor appreciate the opportunity that we have right here, right now. My aim is to support myself and others to be more in our natural state of harmony.
WHAT IS SATORI?
By Kira Kay
HOW DOES A PERSON ATTAIN A SATORI?
In the Eastern Meditation tradition, a Satori usually came after many years of meditation, contemplating a question which Zen in the East called a Koan. A Koan is an unanswerable question, unanswerable in the sense that you cannot present an intellectual idea. The most classical Koan is ‘Who Am I?’. In the Eastern tradition, the master would give the student a Koan and instructions on how to contemplate the question. Most often the Koan was contemplated in silence - even to the extreme of some monks who would wall themselves into caves to have complete and utter solitude contemplating the question.
WHAT BENEFIT DO I GAIN BY HAVING A SATORI?
A Satori allows you to experience your whole self, and that is inclusive of your humanness, your spirit – you. For many the experienced depth of acceptance is profoundly freeing. With the acceptance comes the ability to watch the process of the mind without becoming involved, without believing it - giving you back the sense of power and the realisation that YOU can, and do, have conscious choice in each situation, and that you are not a victim of circumstance but the creator of your life. The more you see the natural flow of life the clearer it is to see your interaction in the relationships in your life from a more neutral perspective. This can support you to participate more deeply from less reaction, understanding your day-to-day interrelationships.
Once you have experienced the freedom of Satori it also gives you the possibility to experience a life without tension or at the very least to realise that when you are in a state of tension being gentle and caring with yourself relieves this tension. While the focus of attaining Satori is to have a peak experience, the journey involved frequently provides a microcosmic look at your basic attitudes towards life. It lets you see your behaviors, the way you think, what you think, how your mind works - many of the aspects to which you may have been previously blind to.
WHAT CAN BE THE ONGOING BENEFIT FOR ME?
WHAT DO PEOPLE SAY AFTER A SATORI?
"So far so GOOD. Thank you for being a part of my life, and for guiding me back to my own simple, honest and beautiful truth, it is all I have ever wanted. I can honestly say I have never felt so complete or seen with such clarity in my whole life as I do right NOW. I am still coming to terms with the enormity of what has happened and what has continued to happen ever since my Satori, I truly feel so blessed. Outwardly things are changing around me and I am very happy to just be taking one step at a time." Mr G
I"nitially, day one and part of day two, my feelings were mostly around 'this is a crock and I do not want to be here'. The thought of sitting for several days with Who am I? seemed to hold the potential for rapid insanity. Anyway, I decided to hang in as I could see that I was getting into stuff that had value for me. Then, I 'got' who I am, and was so excited that I couldn't sit still. It was truly wonderful. I could have left at that point feeling overjoyed… We live on a planet of indescribable beauty in a universe that I feel I have glimpsed. I feel so privileged. Awed. I have sat for long hours just staring. As if I have not seen the planet, other people, before. " Mrs L

I have been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to meet many interesting people, participate in various events, read inspiring books and listen/watch stimulating speakers – each contributing to the myriad of experiences that have been instrumental in my evolving into the person I am now. This page is dedicated to sharing with you the various recommendations that I have personally been touched by in some way – perhaps you may be inspired and encouraged also. The lists below reflect and convey the two main paths I walk, that of Self-Enquiry, and that of Giving Back, both of which have gifted me with experiences from different aspects of life.
Recommended Practitioners & Seminars
I have the view that 'many paths lead to home' ... And at times I may not be that path for you, or I might not be available as I spend regular time away in Nepal ... So in that light I offer here some suggestions incase you are looking for a retreat, class or session to suit your current situation - perhaps one of these persons, that I can personally recommend, might be the support and encouragement that you need.

LOVE – what is it really? The Collins dictionary defines love as “to have great affection for; feel sexual passion for; enjoy something very much”.
I would venture to say if I asked 200 people, I would have 200 different definitions. Love is probably the most talked about, dissected, work-shopped and sought after experience by humans – from the romantic love to the spiritual universal love.
So if we are all seeking it, how come few people seem to attain it?
What I have gained from my own exploration of love, feeling love, being love - is that many of my illusions about love have been shattered, which has at times left me feeling a bit disillusioned with life!
However, it has also presented me with a tremendous gift – to deeply know that love is not outside but within. Simple, you might say – every sage & guru has said this very thing!
Yet how many of you are still seeking fullfilment on the outside?
How many of you look around the room to see if you can spy a potential partner?
How many of you head to the next workshop hoping that this time you will reach 'that' place?
In reality looking for the answer on the outside.
I make these comments not from judgement but more from experience. I too have been in that seeking place. Hoping that the next relationship will offer what I need to feel complete, that the next workshop will give me the enlightening experience. And each experience has been a stepping stone to where I am now.
However, I have found the main instrument in understanding and integrating the realization that the source of love is within, is 'me'. So every time I am feeling as if I am not being fulfilled, getting what I need, not feeling complete – these are the triggers to look at what it is that I am doing in my life that is creating these outcomes.
What beliefs, ideas and attitudes am I holding onto that are supporting a reality that I do not enjoy?
The other side of this is also to reflect on the situations where I do feel fulfilled and happy.
If a person or situation is fulfilling a need/desire that I have, would I still feel happy and complete with the person/situation absent from my life?
The ultimate responsibility lies with me.
By honestly and deeply contemplating my life I have begun to establish a foundation of living based on my intrinsic Truth. To let the emotions and feelings swirl and course through me, yet stay in touch with the depth of my being. In saying this I wish to state that I experience my life as a continuing journey. I do not feel I have attained a special state. I see it as simple steps in each moment. In this moment, I am I prepared to feel the uncomfortable/pleasurable emotion – and reach for the depth of source within the experience.
We all have the place of eternal wisdom within us. It is up to each individual to discover the direct connection to access this knowing and begin applying it in day to day living experiences.
As part of my journey I have chosen to develop my innate psychic abilities which has enabled me to delve deeply into spirit realm. The following excerpt is from the spirit realm and has offered me tangible guidance in addressing my own issues about this human experience. I trust that you will gain insight and understanding to support your own life.
“You each came to experience moving beyond the human conditioning around survival modality. Finances are an intrinsic aspect of this, sex/sexuality is another aspect, as is perception of self. All are interrelated and not separate. It is through the process of awareness, of becoming aware of the inner thoughts, and connections of the thoughts and its many varied forms. The key is to disconnect from these core struggle points, these points where the human condition seems to have an in-built conditioning to maintain, thus constructing an inner fight/struggle. As you become aware of this inner process there is a space for stepping aside from it. The key is the awareness of the process. As the awareness expands there is space within time. Within that space in time there is the realisation that you are not the thoughts, that you do not have to believe the thoughts no matter how core or fundamental they may appear. In particular thoughts on finances, death, sex and love are ones that most human beings feel they cannot let go the belief of. You cannot experience yourself truly, in your natural state, while you hold these beliefs because that is holding the illusion. There will always be a struggle/fight while you choose to believe these human truths. Do not be confused, it is not about not experiencing your emotions/thoughts/feelings that arise from these issues - it is the absoluteness that needs to be dismantled. On a basic level there is enough of everything, enough food, enough money, enough joy, happiness and every other possible requirement. But if you believe there is not enough, if you believe that you have a lack, then this is in fact your reality. If you stop following these ramblings of the mind when it is triggered by one of these subjects, then you actually can look in that moment and see what your truth really is, in this instant. It will allow you to start to see life as it truly is. To see that there is a natural flow that happens.
It is the busyness of the mind interwoven with the chaos of the emotions that create such a dust cloud that you do not see what actually is. This process requires a slowing down and being present in each moment, you cannot stop the natural flow - it is always there. It is whether you choose to see it, to live, to experience it. It is the natural state of grace.
Becoming aware, becoming more conscious of your natural state, is something that can ultimately happen in an instant. However, you have chosen, each of you, to have a human experience, to awaken to your natural state within this human experience. You have never really forgotten who you are - which can be a stimulus and at the same time a handicap. It has set up a framework of both what is possible, and the duality of self-expectation. The key is to continue the levels of uncovering in each moment. And remembering that there is no perfect way, no right way, no ultimate way, there is only what is in each moment.
One particular key is when you become aware of the struggle is to not delve directly to the heart of the struggle. It is not a problem to be dissected, rather to feel the experience and allow the space for seeing. As you would allow seeing another, be in this process within self, more impersonal, enveloping. It is not just the outward seeing but also the inward process - because you are not separate, you are all one, the more you see another, the more clearly you see yourself.
When you find yourself in a state of grace, allow yourself to intimately feel the delightfulness. Allow yourself to immerse in these feelings, allow it to be conscious thought, as if to imprint your cells. It will support you in times when your system wants to flip back to the automatic contractions. The more you allow this state of grace, this sense, the more it becomes a part of your life. There is a caution, as you begin to experience this state of grace, it can be a thin line where you can be over exuberant in the delightfulness of the feelings and skip away from vulnerability and back into the automatic patterns. It does require you to be aware and present of your words and communication in each moment. You are all our beloveds - to be loved. We do not experience the separateness that you humans have chosen to experience.
We cannot experience the pain that we see you experience. Yet we do have, through witnessing your process, some understanding.
We cannot fully express to you our knowing of what it truly is to be in a state of grace, to be truly beloved, that there is no separateness.
We attempt through instants such as this, through writings, through teachers scattered all over the planet - yet none of these can adequately convey to the masses that there is no other choice but to see each other as beloved’s.
To love, and be loved. There is the belovedness within which needs to be experienced.
Becoming aware of your inner process - discovering the belovedness within, the healing.
Then you can truly experience the belovedness on the outside.”
Using this encouragement I find it supportive, as a daily practice, to actively disconnect from my conditioned way of living and to integrate living from my inner source. To explore intimately experiencing love – all the time to the best of my ability.
My experience is that it takes courage to begin living a more honest life with oneself. However, ultimately any fight/lies or untruths that I engage in are with myself. Which when viewed in perspective is rather silly. Much better to attempt living as undefended as I know how and open to the possibility that this human experience is much more that I can imagine! And, my own personal dismantling continues one step at time, with the embrace of myself by my side.
To be a human is truly a gift. We often do not realize nor appreciate the opportunity that we have right here, right now. My aim is to support myself and others to be more in our natural state of harmony,
UNCOVERING YOUR NATURAL LIFE-SKILLS
An Introduction by Kira Kay
Nature as a friend and guide
By Kira Kay
As I sit here writing, the sounds & sights of spring surround me – the birds in their mating finery, the plants with new growth and emerging flowers. In my own life I have found great value in understanding the natural life cycles of nature. It has supported me to let go of ‘problems’ and come into the present moment - to be appreciative of my life. I thought to share with you some of my insights that you may relate to and enjoy.
Winter, spring, summer and autumn – the four seasons that make up our nature cycle. Each also having a transitory phase – i.e. when it is not yet winter but not yet spring. So do each of us have a similar cycle internally. There are times when it is more appropriate to be inward, creative, expansive and reflective – or in transition from one to another. In honouring and acknowledging these phases we can understand our own personal and unique harmony. In perceiving this potential harmony we allow ourselves the possibility of integrating into our outside environment with balance and grace. In witnessing these cycles of seasons is becomes apparent that no-thing is ever constant, always in a process of flux/change – and to realize that this is natural - a simple aspect of the duality in which we live.
I have found the physical aspect of nature can offer tremendous support. When the mind is busy and disturbed there can be a tendency to focus in thought. I have found that in connecting with nature (walks in the bush or by the ocean, or working in the garden/forest) and being reminded of the simplicity and ordinariness of life can support the business of the mind to lose importance. Nature can also be a great reminder of the aliveness and abundance of each moment.
In our day-to-day lives our culture has generally lost the celebration of the season changes. If we look to many indigenous cultures and history we can see that this has been an important part of human development. However our busy lives and the influx and of technology has meant many of us are no longer aware of the seasonal changes. It can be helpful in your personal life to acknowledge the changes and allow the time and space to celebrate.
Often winter can be literally a more inward experience internally and to acknowledge the movement into spring with a celebration or ritual can support you to let go of the residue of that inward process and gather your energy for a creative period. Similarly at the end of summer, to celebrate the abundance and outward experiences and look toward the next stage of reflection (autumn).
In what I am expressing here is my experience that nature is a powerful instrument in understanding oneself and life. In your quest to discover your true self, nature can be a potent ally – and it is here all the time.
With love & care,
