“When one tastes the sweet nectar of connecting deeply with one’s own soul, finding the quiet peace within that is always present, one never forgets this remembering.”

About joining a Retreat

The retreat will include an emphasis on experiential practice of meditation.

This allows you to have direct experiences of yourSelf.

There will be some group discussion time to explore questions about meditation practice and experiences that you are having.

There will be exercises to support you in bringing meditation into your everyday life to integrate the benefits of the weekend.

The retreat will also include a private energy work or massage  session to support you into a deepening and nurtured state.

All meals are vegetarian designed to help the body relax and heal.

There will be the option of early morning yoga sessions.

Our intention is that you leave with heightened awareness of  new possibilities to live life more fully, easefully and happily.

 Moon Reflection

reflection “Why must I meditate in order to achieve enlightenment?” demanded the prince of his teacher. “I can study. I can pray. I can think on issues clearly. Why this silly emptying of the mind?”

“I will show you,” said the teacher, taking a bucket of water into the garden under the full moon. “Now I stir the surface and what do you see?”

“Ribbons of light,” answered the prince.

“Now wait,” said the teacher setting the bucket down. Both teacher and boy watched the calming surface of the water in the bamboo bucket for many minutes. “Now what do you see?” asked the teacher.

“The moon,” replied the prince. “so, too, young master, the only way to grasp enlightenment is through a calm and settled mind.”         (From Zen Fables)
